In 2019, internist Azra Hussaini, MD, FACP, opened The Doc’s Here, offering telemedicine and house calls to patients. As of 2022, she is also offering in-office visits. The hope of Dr. Hussaini is to provide more accessible, patient-centered primary care to patients in Maryland, with a recent expansion to telemedicine in New York and Virginia as well. Dr. Hussaini welcomes all patients to her practice, no matter their beliefs, religions, cultures, sexuality, or backgrounds. For patients that do not have health care, she will find a way to help them.
Dr. Hussaini decided to run her practice by trying to walk in her patient’s shoes. This means she sees her patients in an unhurried fashion, and as many times it takes to satisfy their concerns. Rather than spending the average six minutes with a patient, she spends a full hour, if needed, speaking to them and addressing their needs. Additionally, she only asks patients to pay what they can afford. This vision was shaped by her training, in which she worked with patients from diverse age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.
In 1990, Dr. Hussaini finished her medical education at the Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. Afterward, she moved to the United States to pursue a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai’s Elmhurst Hospital Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in geriatrics at the Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland & Foleys' Elder Health Center. In 1997, she moved to Baltimore with her family and received her board certification in internal medicine.
Having trained in Pakistan and the US, Dr. Hussaini considers herself an energetic, adaptable, and culturally sensitive practitioner. In her practice, she enjoys opportunities to work as an individual or in a team to address patient needs, from wellness exams to chronic care management and mental health evaluations.
Dr. Hussaini wants to make it as easy as possible for all patients to receive compassionate, personalized, wholesome care at any time of day. She will come to you and make you feel better. She wants to be your advocate and help you feel your best. She also offers telehealth appointments for patients who prefer virtual consultations.
To learn more about Dr. Hussaini’s inclusive, personable medicine, do not hesitate to call or book an appointment online.
“Dr Hussaini is a very caring physician. She takes the time to listen to my mother-in-law who has severe dementia, makes recommendations for accommodations to keep her safe, is always responseive when I email her questions or concerns. She is truly a Baltimore Top Doc!”

Eric C. Nager, MD, is a Board-Certified Anti-Aging, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine specialist. He is committed to providing his patients with exceptional care at OptiHealth Institute located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Nager was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He pursued his undergraduate education at New York University, where he majored in psychology and minored in biology and chemistry. Dr. Nager then attended medical school at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. He graduated Cum Laude and went on to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nager has practiced at multiple hospitals and thoroughly enjoyed being able to help very sick patients. He has devoted much of his career to public service and served as a Medical Manager for the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Team, Fire Surgeon for the Baltimore County Fire Department, and Tactical Physician for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Over time, Dr. Nager realized that much of what he learned in medical school and residency supported a reactionary approach towards illness. In other words, he felt that he was treating the symptoms as opposed to the root cause of disease. This practice was sick care — not wellness care. Dr. Nager felt a duty to create a proactive approach to medicine. He researched and explored every method and treatment that promised positive results, including lifestyle changes, nutrition, supplements, hormones, IV therapy, and Regenerative Medicine therapy.
Dr. Nager’s journey led him to embrace Functional Medicine, which is an evidence-based practice that views the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership. Functional Medicine focuses on the whole person and uses an array of scientific disciplines to heal illnesses and help people regain and maintain optimal health. To further this goal, Dr. Nager enrolled in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine’s fellowship program in Anti-Aging, Metabolic, and Functional Medicine. He went on to become Board-Certified in Anti-Aging, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine.
With a desire to continually expand his knowledge and improve the well-being of his patients, Dr. Nager stays up-to-date on the latest medical research and routinely participates in advanced medical education. Functional and Regenerative Medicine and its ability to heal patients is Dr. Nager’s “Friday Night Essence,”. He uses a combination of traditional, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine to keep himself — and his patients — in top physical and mental condition. To schedule a visit with Dr. Nager, call the office or use the convenient online booking tool to set up your appointment.
