Dr. Elder graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida. He then completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and two fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Detroit Medical Center.
A recognized expert in the field of cardiology, Dr. Elder has developed many clinical trials. Over the years, he has also performed research on endovascular procedures and complex vascular cases. He serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Wayne State University's School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing.
Dr. Elder is a highly requested speaker at international and national medical conferences. Board-certified physician, Prasad Cherian, MD, specializes in noninvasive tests for cardiovascular disease. Dr. Cherian graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He then performed his residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. Later, Dr. Cherian completed fellowships at the University of Utah in heart failure and cardiac transplant and at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in general cardiology.
During his fellowships, Dr. Cherian specialized in heart failure management. After moving to Michigan, he focused his attention on patients struggling with heart failure. Today, Dr. Cherian works with patients to manage complex medication regimens. He also monitors patients' progress and keeps up-to-date on assessments of their heart function.
Dr. Cherian has a passion for medicine, and he enjoys working with the next generation of physicians. He's proud to oversee the work of many medical students within the field of cardiology.
