I was born and raised in Southern California, and I have already had theopportunity to call several states and countries home. I did my undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Idaho where I earned a degree in Biology. Then, I started medical school at Trinity School of Medicine on the lovely island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and finished in the state of Georgia.
My desire to enter medicine started when I was an Emergency Medical Technician in Idaho. Through my medical school training, I found my passion to be in internal medicine. Outside of my work in medicine, I enjoy playing soccer, outdoor activities with my wife and kids, andfixing things.

Dr. Nora Muakkassa is a board-certified ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist. She graduated from Cornell University and earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
