Through the years, she has also received a number of awards and recognitions, including Distinguished Faculty of the Year by the University of Texas at Tyler in 2018 and the Top Cardiologist by Fort Worth Magazine in 2020.
In addition, she is an author and public speaker. Her medical insights in cardiology have been published in a number of articles, book chapters and peer-reviewed journals. An Australian News Journal dedicated a series of articles to her insights called “Pioneer in Medicine.” At the American Heart Association’s Go Red Luncheon (AHA), she was invited to be a keynote speaker.
Many media outlets have also invited Dr. Farah to be a guest speaker on their program, including NPR News, NBC News, ABC News, as well as inviting her to contribute to podcasts on Fox News and Doing it Right with Valerie Sokolosky.
Her work in heart health is also recognized internationally. She has worked with some of the top world leaders to promote global health, including the United Nation, World Health Organization (WHO), and UNICEF.
