Born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Wong was a three-sport athlete and musician in high-school.  He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to study Computer Science and Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California.  After graduating from the Keck School of Medicine at USC, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and he was honored as Senior Resident of the Year during his final year.  After residency, Dr. Wong stayed at LAC+USC for his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.

On a personal note, Dr. Wong is married to his high-school sweetheart, Lindsay.  They spend their spare time with their two daughters and miniature dachshund.  When they are not taxiing the kids to soccer and ninja warrior practice, they enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.

Dr. Wong takes a very personal approach to his patient care, developing a close rapport with all his patients in this small boutique-style practice.  His training at the Los Angeles County Hospital has made him an extremely thorough and experienced physician, providing the highest quality evidence-based treatment.  He is especially adept at the management of difficult-to-treat asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, and sinus disease.  He is also well-versed in the most current literature and treatment guidelines for food allergies, drug allergies, immunodeficiencies, urticaria, contact dermatitis, and other skin allergies.

Dr. Wong is double boarded diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He joined the Song Institute in 2015.  He welcomes new patients to his practice and hopes that his patients will be impressed by his professional yet personable spirit.

Brenton Bauer, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare in Los Angeles. He sees patients at the Torrance, Redondo Beach and El Segundo offices in addition to the cardiology department at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.  He specializes in general cardiology, cardio-oncology, and advanced cardiac imaging.

Dr. Bauer completed his medical education and advanced training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition to earning his Doctor of Medicine with honors, Dr. Bauer completed an internal medicine internship and residency, serving as chief resident, and a cardiovascular disease fellowship serving as chief fellow. He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in addition to subspecialty boards of Echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Bauer has written extensively for medical journals and other publications.

An award-winning physician, Dr. Bauer has been named to the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) national conference program faculty, as an ACC National FIT (Fellows in Training) Jeopardy Competition finalist, as a finalist for the UCLA Most Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award, and won the best poster presentation in congenital heart disease at the American College of Cardiology’s 2015 conference, among others.

In his leisure time, Dr. Bauer loves traveling the world with his wife and junior high sweetheart.  They particularly enjoy experiencing different cultures, trying amazing food, and learning different languages (to which he is fluent in English and Spanish and working on others including Italian). 

Bao Khanh Thai, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 13 years of experience. She serves patients at United Family Physicians in Glendora, California, providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and senior care. Known for her compassionate and approachable style, Dr. Thai is dedicated to building long-term partnerships with her patients and their families.

Dr. Thai earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed her internship and residency training at Pomona Valley Hospital, a UCLA-affiliated program. I like to think of myself as a clinician and patient advocate, striving for quality patient care in a manner that will maintain the wellbeing of patients in the short as well as long term. In an ever-so-busy and changing medical field, I find the most important part of being a physician is being able to listen to the patient in order to address his/her needs. Whether it is acute or chronic medical concerns, being able to simply listen to the patient will allow for correct diagnosis and medical management. I pride myself in doing just that. Aside from being a physician, I am a family oriented individual and enjoy spending time with my lovely fiancé and big family.

Dr. Albaree is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has completed her training at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. She comes to us from Kaiser Permanente with experience and knowledge in conducting telehealth assessments and treatments and will be a great asset to the MIMPC community.

Dr. Albaree will be available to see patients by TELEHEALTH CONFERENCE ONLY beginning September 9/6 and will be able to assist with both chronic and urgent care matters by phone or video.
