He is board-certified in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, and echocardiography, and is a Certified Specialist in Hypertension and Resistant Hypertension. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Distinction in Research from Union College in New York, received his medical degree from the University of Rochester, and was an intern, resident, chief resident, and cardiology fellow at Boston University Medical Center Hospital, Boston, where he also received his fellowship training in interventional cardiology. He has practiced in several states, including Florida, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Pennsylvania, serving in various leadership roles, including director of echocardiography, director of several cardiac catheterization labs, chief of cardiology, and helped establish cardiology programs, cardiac catheterization labs, and echocardiography labs.
