Dr. Nijah Burris is from Union City, GA, and the oldest of four siblings. Growing up outside the city, she fondly remembers tubing at Lake Lanier, playing volleyball, and spending time with her cousins. Originally, she matriculated at Spelman College to pursue biomedical research, but family tragedies shifted her pursuits to medicine. Dr. Burris graduated from medical school and completed her family medicine residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. During her journey, she has served as chief resident, performed community-based research on the association between anxiety and epilepsy in African American participants, promoted awareness of psychosocial barriers amongst North African and Middle Easterners in medicine, and volunteered at the HEAL Clinic serving the underserved communities.
Dr. Burris’ areas of interest include preventive medicine, health equity, and community outreach. Lastly in her free time, she enjoys traveling, DIY projects, trying different cultural foods, true crime podcasts, visiting any beach, and hanging out with family and friends. Dr. Prysyazhnyuk completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College of Columbia University before earning her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell NS/LIJ, where she also obtained certifications as a clinician educator and in lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Nick Sidhu, MD, is a triple board-certified practitioner with specialties in internal medicine, obesity medicine, and functional medicine. He established the Advanced Pain and Weight Loss Center with patients in mind, wishing to provide quality care to resolve their pain or addiction issues and assist with obesity management.
Dr. Sidhu is a certified physician through the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Sidhu is also authorized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to treat opioid dependency with buprenorphine.
