Rene A. Reyes, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has more than 20 years of clinical experience. Before attending medical school, Dr. Reyes earned a bachelor’s degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and was also formally involved in research at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at New York University Downtown Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Reyes practices preventative healthcare and offers proactive, attentive outpatientcare. He particularly enjoys developing relationships with his patients and collaborating with them on how best to optimize and maintain their health and prevent disease. Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Dr. Cruz received his Doctorate of Medicine from The Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana in 1988. He completed his specialty training in Family Medicine in 1993.
Relocating to the United States, Dr. Cruz completed his Internal Medicine residency through the Raritan Bay Medical Center, affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University, and served as Chief Resident. He practiced in Miami for several years following, and finally opened his private practice in 2005. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
With experience working as a hospitalist for 20 years, Dr. Cruz was part of the credential department and a member of the Executive Committee for many years at Jackson South Hospital. With more than 40 years of diverse experience, Dr. Blyden is an esteemed physician in his field.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in plant science from the Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1967, Dr. Blyden earned a PhD in pharmacology from prestigious Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1976. Just three years later, he also earned his medical doctorate cum laude from Yale University.
