About Dr. Velusamy
Muthu Velusamy, MD, FACC, ABVM, is the cardiovascular disease specialist at Cardiovascular Institute of America, which has two offices in Tampa and Lutz, Florida. He is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases, cardiology, and vascular medicine. Dr. Velusamy is a detail-oriented physician who takes a patient-centered approach to care.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Stanley Medical College in Chennai (formerly Madras), India, Dr. Velusamy completed postgraduate medical training in general medicine at the National Health Services Hospital in the United Kingdom. He then relocated to the United States and completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship program in cardiovascular disease at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
