Ali Ashtiani, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible interventional cardiologist at Cardiology Specialists of Orange County (CSOC) practicing in Santa Ana, Irvine, and Newport Beach, California. He has special interests in coronary intervention including coronary angioplasty & stent placement, pacemaker implantation, and valvular/structural heart disease.
Dr. Ashtiani received his medical training in our very own Orange County. After earning his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California, he went on to complete internal medicine internship and residency followed by cardiology fellowship and advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology at the same institution.
Dr. Ashtiani is affiliated with Hoag Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute in Newport Beach, Hoag Hospital Irvine, & Hoag Orthopedic Institute, St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, and Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana.

Shawn Hamilton, MD, has more than 20 years of experience as a board-certified physician in internal medicine. She practices at Spruce Medical Group in Irvine, California, and is affiliated with Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, located in Newport and in Irvine, California. Dr. Hamilton speaks many languages, including Chinese (Mandarin), Taiwanese, and some medical Spanish.
Dr. Hamilton graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Charles R. Drew University of Science and Medicine in Los Angeles. To reach as many people in her diverse community as possible, she accepts a wide range of insurances, including Cal-Optima, Medicare, Aetna PPO, Blue Cross Prudent Buyer PPO, and United Health PPO.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Hamilton sees her role as addressing the concerns of the men and women who visit her office, assessing their symptoms, and treating them, or if necessary, referring them to a subspecialist. She prides herself on minimizing any delay in calling in medications and processing referrals for lab and radiology orders, which has earned her accolades for running an efficient, caring practice and the Top Doctors award of Orange Coast Magazine.
