He stayed close to home for his education, earning bachelor’s degrees in art history and molecular biology from the University of California at Los Angeles, and then remained at UCLA to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree.
During medical school, Dr. Lashkari developed a keen interest in cancer care, inspired by the discoveries of new treatments and the possibility of helping people with challenging conditions.
