Dr. Ker was born in Orrville, Ohio, and is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUCOM). Dr. Ker is a member of the National Osteopathic Honor Society, which is an honor given to those showing a high degree of scholarship and service to their college and/or profession. Dr. Ker completed both her internship and residency in internal medicine at Botsford Hospital, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She then continued at Botsford Hospital to complete her nephrology subspecialty program and was named Chief Nephrology Fellow in her final year of training.
Currently, Dr. Ker is a member of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
