Dr. Kaki served as a full-time faculty member at the University of Tennessee Department of Medicine. He was also an assistant professor of medicine in the Weill Cornell Medicine Greenberg Center in New York City. Today, Dr. Kaki takes pride in training the next generation of cardiologists as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Wayne State School of Medicine.

During his fellowships, Dr. Cherian specialized in heart failure management. After moving to Michigan, he focused his attention on patients struggling with heart failure.
