Dr. Tepper received his undergraduate degree from Yale College in New Haven, and his MD from Cornell University Medical College in New York City. He completed his Neurology residency at Harvard in Boston and is board certified in Neurology and in Headache Medicine.

He served in the United States Air Force as the Chief of Neurology at USAF Hospital Sheppard AFB.
