Dr. Seymur Gahramanov is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery, motion-preserving procedures including cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement, brain tumor surgery, and spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain.

Raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, Dr. Gahramanov earned his medical degree with honors from Azerbaijan State Medical University and completed his first neurosurgery residency at the Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute in Moscow, one of the world’s oldest centers devoted to neurosurgery. He continued his training in the United States, with a neuro-oncology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University, a brain tumor fellowship at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, and a second neurosurgery residency at the University of New Mexico. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented at national neurosurgical meetings.

He then practiced in Salem, Oregon, for seven years, and in 2020 became the first surgeon in the Oregon to perform full endoscopic spine surgery. In August 2026 he moved to the Seattle area to join Seattle Spine Institute.

Dr. Gahramanov believes the right operation is often the smallest one that solves the problem.
