Dr. Kian Farzaneh DDS is an accomplished oral surgeon, wisdom teeth specialist, and dental implant specialist in Danville, California.
At his practice, Dr. Farzaneh cares for patients using the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. These include Nobel Guide, which is a CT-guided implant planning and placement technology, and "Teeth in an Hour," a service that helps people who need immediate dental implants. He is one of the few surgeons trained in placement of the Zygomatic Implants, a procedure that eliminates the need for bone grafts in severely resorbed jaws.
Dr. Farzaneh graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1999. He completed a one-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Highland General Hospital/University of the Pacific. He then completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial residency program at the same hospital.
Dr. Farzaneh has received multiple certificates in the area of dental implants, including certificates from Nobel Biocare, one of the world’s leading authorities on dental implants. He is also currently on staff at John Muir Medical Center, a major trauma center in the Bay Area.
He is a member of numerous associations, including the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and Sadi Fontaine Academy.
Dr. Farzaneh continues to keep updated with the newest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Michael Issakharian, DDS is an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon specializing in dental implants (single implants to All-on4 full mouth reconstruction), complex extractions including wisdom teeth, bone grafting, PRP & PRF, dental infections, facial/jaw trauma, benign tumors of the jaw, TMJ pain and a variety of minimally invasive techniques in oral surgery. Dr. Issakharian grew up in Los Angeles and after receiving his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 2011, he attended the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. He then completed an internship at Rutgers University in New Jersey, followed by a rigorous four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. During his last residency year at Harbor-UCLA, he served as a chief resident. He takes pride in providing top notch care, including the use of the latest technology and 3D imaging, to the fit the needs of each and every patient. When not working, he enjoys spending time with the family, sports (big Lakers fan) and being outdoors.
Tyler Nelson, DDS, is thrilled to practice oral surgery at Ramona Dental Specialists in Ramona, California! Although his life’s journeys have taken him far from home, he is grateful to be back.
Dr. Nelson received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University. During his undergraduate education, he took a “career exploration” class, which required him to observe numerous professions. When he observed an oral surgeon in action, he found his passion and made up his mind rather quickly, that this was the career path for him. He loves what he does every day.
During dental school at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, Dr. Nelson served as class president each year, and as Student Body President during his senior year. He graduated with high honors and was accepted into the 4-year oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.
During his residency, Dr. Nelson was trained in IV sedation, dental implants, the removal of problematic teeth, facial trauma, and orthognathic (jaw repositioning) surgery. He also presented research on jaw tumors and imaging modalities for the diagnosis of mandibular fractures.
Dr. Tyler Nelson is happily married to his college sweetheart, Natalie. Together, they are proud parents of six children. Beyond spending time with his family, Dr. Nelson enjoys running, biking, and snowboarding.
Ameet Chopra, DDS, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients at Vartanian Dental Group in Mission Viejo, California. He specializes in dental implants, sedation dentistry, and corrective jaw surgery.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Chopra attended the University of California, Irvine, for his undergraduate degree. After graduating with honors, he attended Pacific University Dental School, the only accelerated three-year program in the United States. He then attended UCLA for an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship and completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
To give you the best possible service and results, Dr. Chopra is committed to continual education and learning. He attends dental lectures, meetings, and conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Jeremy Owyoung, DDS, is a skilled periodontist at Vartanian Dental Group in Mission Viejo, California. He specializes in treating and maintaining the gums, bones, and tissue that support your teeth.
A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Owyoung graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Management Science. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry (USC).
Upon completing dental school, Dr. Owyoung trained at the University of California, San Francisco, to achieve his specialty certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. During this time, he also earned a master’s degree in Biomaterials and Oral Biology. He has published literature on various topics, including chronic disease prevention, oral health promotion, dental biomaterials, and oral implantology.
Dr. Owyoung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a recognized specialty of the American Dental Association.
When he’s not fixing smiles, Dr. Owyoung enjoys mountain biking, music, and digital photography. He also enjoys NBA basketball and cheering for his favorite college football team -- USC!
Dr. Woo, a board-eligible surgeon, is in private practice limited to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He is both a licensed physician and a dental specialist. He currently holds the volunteering teaching position as a clinical assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the LAC / USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.
His educational background is very diverse. His formative years were spent under the rigorous British school system in Hong Kong. This was followed by an undergraduate and graduate education in Canada. Dr. Woo then graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry as the class valedictorian in 2002 with multiple awards and honors. He then entered a General Surgery internship at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA, and a full residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Nariman Saadat is our Oral Surgeon at Miracle Dental. He is trained in carrying out complex surgical procedures with ease, confidence, and extreme success. Dr. Saadat sees most of our patients who have complex extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth. His ability and training to comfortably put patients to sleep during these procedures is just one of the reasons patients feel at ease with Dr. Saadat.
Dr. Saadat completed his bachelors degree at UCLA, focusing on Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Following his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn his dental degree from UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Saadat then continued to complete his medical and surgical education at Oregon Health and Science University, where he received world-class training in the thorough management of oral and maxillofacial surgical treatments.
Sam Jones completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at New Mexico State University in 2007 and then his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, in 2017 with a focus on family medicine.
