Dr. Jade Tran grew up in the mile high city of Denver, Colorado where she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for her bachelor’s degree in biology. Pursuing her dream to become a dentist, she made a move to the big apple and received her doctor of dental surgery degree from New York University. She excelled in school graduating with honors, and was inducted into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, reserved for the top 10% of the class.
She stayed in New York and completed a general practice residency at Nassau Medical Center in Long Island to advance her clinical skills in dentistry. She practiced as a general dentist for 3 years before pursuing her true passion of creating beautiful smiles with orthodontics. She then completed her post-graduate education in orthodontics and facial orthopedics at NYU, where she did extensive research on accelerating tooth movement. Her research, “Cytokine Expression and Accelerated Tooth Movement”, was published in the Journal of Dental Research. Shortly after graduation Dr. Tran became a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. As a board certified orthodontist, she strives to provide patients with the best care possible.
Dr. Tran has participated in several dental outreaches in Romania and Nicaragua, and looks forward to many more. In her spare time she enjoys photography and spending time with her daughter. Dr. Tran is married to her dental school sweetheart, who is a practicing oral surgeon.
