Dr. Reem I. Alhussain is personally invested to see each child have the best oral healthcare he or she deserves. She believes it is important for children to have a positive dental experience starting at a young age to foster a lifetime of excellent oral health. She enjoys making the dental visit a comfortable and fun experience for every child.

Dr. Reem has had the privilege to serve as an American Student Dental Association national leader to advocate for oral health. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has represented her beloved state of Virginia on AAPD Lobby Day advocating for policy impacting pediatric oral health.

She was born in France and raised in Paris and Virginia. Growing up in different continents led to her commitment and love to connect with people. She has taken great pride in the personal connections she built with her patients over the years. She truly believes that patient-centered communication is the core of any relationship success.

With that philosophy in mind, she graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Political and Persuasive Communications with a Minor in Business.

Dr. Reem received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. She then completed residency in pediatric dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry and Bellevue Hospital Center where she was appointed Chief Resident. She received the opportunity to work at the Rose F Kennedy Center for developmental disabled patients which allowed her to hone her skills with special needs patients.

Dr. Reem has a passion for traveling for service. She has traveled to provide care for underserved patients both locally in Virginia through Mission of Mercy and Give Kids A Smile. She has also served internationally in Jamaica, Grenada, and Nepal.

She loves to spend quality time with her husband, family, and friends. She absolutely loves to travel and learn new languages. She currently speaks English, Arabic, French, and is striving to learn Spanish.

Dr. Phaeton completed her undergraduate education at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
