Dr. Cyrus Mansouri earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry after completing bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, graduating with honors throughout his academic training. He completed his  Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry with advanced training in periodontal microsurgery as Chief Resident at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry in New Orleans.

Dr. Mansouri's previous experience includes a focus on periodontal plastic surgery, mucogingival procedures, dental implant surgery, and comprehensive periodontal care. He is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered treatment while utilizing minimally invasive surgical techniques to optimize function and esthetics. He has been published in the Journal of Periodontology  and received multiple research grants and academic honors.

Caesar Sweidan, DDS, is a board-certified periodontist at St. Tammany Periodontics & Implants, serving patients in Slidell and Covington, Louisiana. Dr. Sweidan graduated from the Bishop’s School of Amman as the valedictorian. During his years in school, he received an annual Academic Excellence scholarship and numerous awards, was involved in community service, and was a class representative for many years.

After graduating from high school, he received four academic scholarships to complete his dental school education. He maintained an excellent academic record and graduated with honors in the top three of his class.

Following graduation, he completed a general practice residency at the University of Jordan Hospital. He then completed two years of advanced education in general dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he was elected Chief Resident in his second year. He then enrolled at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where he completed his three years of specialty training as a periodontist. Dr. Sweidan is proud to have completed three residencies after receiving his dental degree. This adds up to six years of postgraduate education, which enables him to provide quality dental care to his patients. 

Seeking exceptionalism, Dr. Sweidan underwent further testing and became board certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Sweidan believes that continuing education is of utmost importance for any clinician. He has been published on an innovative surgical technique in the Clinical Advances in Periodontology Journal, the clinical publication of the American Association of Periodontists.

Dr. Sweidan is an active member of the local chapter of the American Dental Association. He served as the president of the Northlake Dental Association in 2015, was named the Best New Dentist by the Louisiana Dental Association in 2016, and has been on the Top Dentist list since 2012.

Dr. Sweidan serves on the Spear Education Advisory Board and leads a continuing education study club to help provide higher quality dental care to Louisiana residents.

Dr. Sweidan is married to Dr. Britney Beard from Baton Rouge. They live in Mandeville with their four children – Summer, Ellen, Michael, and Grace. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Laura Smith is a graduate of Universidad Latina de Costa Rica where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2009. In 2013, she was accepted into a 1-year fellowship at Louisiana State University where she received training restoring single and multiple dental implants with the newest techniques.  In 2014, she accepted a position in Louisiana State University’s Post-Graduate Periodontal program, which she completed in 2017. 

After obtaining her D.D.S., she practiced general dentistry for 3 years in a private practice in San Jose, Costa Rica. Since completing her 4-year postgraduate education, she has been serving the community of south Louisiana as a periodontal dental specialist.  Besides receiving training in periodontal disease and conditions, she also trained extensively in all aspects of implants, including aesthetic implant surgery, bone grafting, sinus elevation, microsurgery, aesthetic gum grafting, and full mouth implant rehabilitation. Dr. Smith is a compassionate and highly-skilled specialist who treats each patient as if he or she were a member of her own family.
