It is my job, and commitment to assure every patient leaves a visit with me informed, reassured, and comfortable regardless of their condition, and without the confusion that often accompanies complicated diagnoses. I have spent my entire career teaching future physicians, but more importantly, patients, to enhance their understanding. That is why, in addition to primary care and diagnosis, I also offer second opinions and consultations that focus on answering questions or explaining complicated conditions; not to replace your primary physician but to improve your experience.
Melinda attended University of Florida where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. She then migrated even further south to Miami where she graduated with a MCMS from the Barry University Physician Assistant program. She has since worked in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, and Primary Care settings across the US. She served in the USAF for 3 years alongside her husband, but stepped back when her first daughter was born with a heart defect requiring open heart surgery. Her husband remained in the military, taking them from VA to AK to TX. Melinda now homeschools her 3 daughters, works part time in a local UC, and is excited to take care of your urgent and/or chronic medical needs. Melinda believes that the key to your health includes proper nutrition, exercise, and self care, along with modern medicine.
Courtney Dietz was born in Beckley, West Virginia and is a graduate of Concord University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, during which time she also completed a 500 hour internship specializing in psychiatric medicine in 2007. She obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Mountain State University in Beckley in 2011. She completed her clinical training in hospitals throughout the two Virginias.
Courtney has over 14 years of experience in urgent care medicine with special interest in psychiatry. She is a founding partner of Premier Wellness Consultants, dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care. She is also certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys interior design and decorating. She can also often be found bird-watching with her cat, Buckwheat.
