After serving our country, as a medic, in the US Army I became to realize the pleasure & satisfaction of providing care for those in need of medical assistance.
Completing my educational requirements to become a Physician Assistant was not without challenge. It wasn't until 1993 that I graduated from Western Michigan University.
Since 1993 I have worked in both emergency & urgent care medicine with the majority, 19 years +, of my career spent working in the Emergency Department at Hurley Medical Center.
It was with great honor that I served the community of Flint which was often those with economic challenges and limited access to care. This experience, Level 1 trauma center, has provided my the experience, education and knowledge required to function at the highest capacity.

I have over 15 years experience in healthcare- 9 of which have been spent in Family Practice and Urgent Care. I am comfortable with holistic medicine; and I implement it whenever possible. I can help with preventative medicine, the correction of type 2 diabetes, the correction of the gut microbiome (the basis of most disease), and vaginal health. I can help with sick visits, mild depression, mild anxiety, and in Minnesota I can help with ADHD and Medical Marijuana cards.
Melinda attended University of Florida where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. She then migrated even further south to Miami where she graduated with a MCMS from the Barry University Physician Assistant program. She has since worked in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, and Primary Care settings across the US. She served in the USAF for 3 years alongside her husband, but stepped back when her first daughter was born with a heart defect requiring open heart surgery. Her husband remained in the military, taking them from VA to AK to TX. Melinda now homeschools her 3 daughters, works part time in a local UC, and is excited to take care of your urgent and/or chronic medical needs. Melinda believes that the key to your health includes proper nutrition, exercise, and self care, along with modern medicine.
