A graduate of the University of Georgia (Cellular Biology, Pre-Medicine, Nutrition Science minor), she worked as a nutritionist at Grady Memorial Hospital before earning her Master’s in Physician Associate Studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2008.
Over the years, Rolandine witnessed a shift in healthcare where business interests often outweighed patient care. In response, she founded VUC to restore ethical, attentive, and compassionate medicine, ensuring each patient receives the time, respect, and quality of care they deserve.
My practice is based primarily on LISTENING. Your condition and concerns are important to me, and I take the time during your appointment to understand your unique situation. This is especially critical in obstetrical patients, especially those with complications. All too often, people leave an office with unanswered questions and unaddressed anxiety about their (or their baby's) condition or complication. It is my job, and commitment to assure every patient leaves a visit with me informed, reassured, and comfortable regardless of their condition, and without the confusion that often accompanies complicated diagnoses. I have spent my entire career teaching future physicians, but more importantly, patients, to enhance their understanding. That is why, in addition to primary care and diagnosis, I also offer second opinions and consultations that focus on answering questions or explaining complicated conditions; not to replace your primary physician but to improve your experience.
Courtney Dietz was born in Beckley, West Virginia and is a graduate of Concord University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, during which time she also completed a 500 hour internship specializing in psychiatric medicine in 2007. She obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Mountain State University in Beckley in 2011. She completed her clinical training in hospitals throughout the two Virginias.
Courtney has over 14 years of experience in urgent care medicine with special interest in psychiatry. She is a founding partner of Premier Wellness Consultants, dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care. She is also certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys interior design and decorating. She can also often be found bird-watching with her cat, Buckwheat.
After serving our country, as a medic, in the US Army I became to realize the pleasure & satisfaction of providing care for those in need of medical assistance.
Completing my educational requirements to become a Physician Assistant was not without challenge. It wasn't until 1993 that I graduated from Western Michigan University.
Since 1993 I have worked in both emergency & urgent care medicine with the majority, 19 years +, of my career spent working in the Emergency Department at Hurley Medical Center.
It was with great honor that I served the community of Flint which was often those with economic challenges and limited access to care. This experience, Level 1 trauma center, has provided my the experience, education and knowledge required to function at the highest capacity.
