After completing his Internship, Dr. Woodruff completed his urologic Residency at both Louisiana State University and Oschner Medical Center. A portion of his training occurred at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as a result of necessary evacuation from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Upon completing his Residency, Dr. Woodruff completed a Robotic/Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the prestigious Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Lipika McCauley, M.D. is a board-certified urologist who specializes in the cutting-edge technology of neuromodulation in the treatment of urinary incontinence and overactive bladders. Currently, she is the leading urologist in the state of Arizona providing this service. She is also very focused in pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, female urology, and minimally invasive robotic surgery.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, she completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. McCauley went on to graduate with a Doctorate of Medicine with honors from Eastern Virginia Medical School as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Torre H. Rhoades specializes in urology, with a focus on urologic oncologic surgery, a skill set that is embraced by only a select group of urologists in Arizona.
Dr. Rhoades joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010. He attended the University of New Mexico before earning early admittance to medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he was also vice president of the American Medical Student Association. Dr. Rhoades also completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he would eventually serve as chief resident. While in residency, Dr. Rhoades was recognized for his outstanding laparoscopic and robotic skills, and he was given the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award. He completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic at Florida in Urologic Oncology.

Athena lives in the Valley with her husband and their two daughters.

Dr. Sundararajan Jayachandran specializes in urology. He joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2011 when his team at Northwest Urology Associates, entered into partnership with the practice.
Dr. Jayachandran earned his Bachelor of Science from the Sainik School and attended medical school at Stanley Medical College, both in India. He completed his internship and then a residency in both general surgery and urology at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he would eventually serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Jayachandran also holds an MBA from George Washington University.
Prior to joining Northwest Urology Associates and Arizona Center for Cancer Care, Dr. Jayachandran held medical positions at the Arizona Medical Clinic, Sun Valley Urology, Cigna Medical Group and the VA Medical Center, among others.
Dr. Sivarajan completed his General Urology residency training at prestigious New York University Langone Medical Center in New York City. He went on to pursue additional specialty fellowship training at the nationally renowned Hackensack University Medical Center where he specialized in Laparoscopy, Robotic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Urology.
Dr. Sivarajan practices the full spectrum of Adult Urology, however, he has specialized training in Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery for the treatment of cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal gland, ureter and renal pelvis as well as reconstructive urologic surgery. Dr. Chehval was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Dayton in Ohio, earning a bachelor’s degree in science with a minor in psychology. He then went on to complete a master’s degree with a thesis in physiology at Loyola University in Chicago in 2005. Following, he attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was awarded Honors for the top performance in the behavioral sciences department and for the most outstanding ability in the department of surgery. He graduated medical school in 2010 and completed the early years of his residency at St. Louis University before completing his training in urology at the University of Iowa in 2017.
Dr. Chehval has a particular interest in endoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery (robotics/laparoscopy), stone disease, management of BPH and infertility.
Dr. Ben O’Neill Donovan – an Arizona native – specializes in urology, with an emphasis on pediatric urology. His pediatric urology expertise includes complex urethral reconstruction, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplant and orchidopexy, as well as bladder reconstruction and urinary diversion. Dr. Shawn D. Blick specializes in Urology. Founder of Valley Urology Associates, he joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010 when they entered into a partnership. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from Cornell University and attended medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Blick trained as a resident in both General Surgery and Urology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. In addition, his residency required him to complete six months of oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
In Arizona, Dr. Blick currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Paradise Valley Hospital. He has also previously served as the Medical Director and Chairman of the Board at the Surgical Elite Surgery Center, the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Paradise Valley Hospital, West Valley Hospital, and Maryvale Hospital. He has attended multiple courses on advanced techniques for penile prosthesis insertion for erectile dysfunction, pelvic floor reconstruction for pelvic prolapse and stress urinary incontinence, laser surgery and UROLIFT for BPH, cryoablation and robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies for prostate cancer, and hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomies for kidney cancer.
In the community, Dr. Blick has proven himself to be an excellent educator. He was an Adjunctive Faculty Member at Midwestern University Osteopathic College of Medicine for 12 years and has been given an award for his teaching skills. He has delivered multiple lectures to patients and physicians on the topics of erectile dysfunction, overactive bladders, stress urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer.
Dr. Blick is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a multi-year “Top Doc” honoree by Phoenix Magazine.
Dr. Lynn W. Blunt, Jr. specializes in General Urology and Focuses on BPH, Prostate Cancer and Kidney Stone disease. He also has a background in the diagnosis and treatment of Urologic Trauma.
He joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010 when his team at Valley Urology Associates, entered into a partnership. Prior to joining Valley Urologic Associates and Arizona Center for Cancer Care, Dr. Blunt served as the chairman for the Division of Urology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. During his term, Dr. Blunt was responsible for educating residents and medical students at the University of Chicago Urology Residency Program and the Chicago Medical School, respectively. Dr. Blunt also served as the institution’s physician liaison to The Commission on Cancer for The American College of Surgeons, making Dr. Blunt a leading authority in urologic oncology.
