He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease, and holds fellowship designations from three of the most distinguished professional societies in medicine: the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the American College of Physicians (FACP), and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He previously served as President of the Medical Staff of the Bon Secours Hospital System, Baltimore, and as Chairman of its Peer Review Committee, and has led the Chesapeake IPA, a consortium of more than 100 independent medical practice groups in Maryland. International Health Ministry: HDPTC–GABP
Dr. Ezeugwu is the Founder and President of the Heart Disease Prevention and Training Center (HDPTC) — a Christian health-care and training organization with branches in Nsukka (Enugu State, Nigeria), Lagos, and Enugu-Ezike, as well as its U.S. base in Baltimore. HDPTC operates under the conviction that God is the ultimate healer, and combines clinical care, disease prevention, training, and spiritual advocacy in its service to communities across Nigeria and beyond. Through HDPTC, Dr. Ezeugwu leads the Global Association of Benevolent Practitioners (GABP) — a program addressing hypertension and cardiovascular risk across underserved populations. The center has provided heart-risk assessments, specialist training, and health-care access to thousands of patients in Nigeria and other African countries.
Philanthropic Work: Just Heart Help Inc.
In 2004, Dr. Ezeugwu founded Just Heart Help Inc., a Baltimore-based nonprofit through which he has provided educational scholarships to underprivileged students in the United States, Nigeria, and Zambia; refurbished dilapidated primary schools; reconstructed clean-water supply systems; and provided resources to churches and communities in Nsukka, Nigeria. The foundation currently provides more than 45 scholarships annually to students in Nigeria and Bible colleges in Zambia, and has extended financial assistance to communities affected by hurricanes and disasters in Haiti, the Bahamas, and beyond.
As an Author
Dr. Ezeugwu has authored numerous medical articles, book chapters, dissertations, health-care blogs, and educational videos throughout his career, yet he considers his theological writing to be his most significant work. His first book, Faith and Receiving from God: The Spiritual Analysis (Christian Faith Publishing, 2017), established the foundational architecture of faith — what it is, how it is acquired, and how it operates. The Peaceful and Restful Faith: From Formation to Manifestation completes that foundation, mapping the full architecture of faith from the moment grace is revealed by God to the rest that is the natural destination of a soul abiding in complete alignment with His will. The architecture carries forward into Abiding Faith: From Alignment to Divine Abundance and Prosperity, which traces how aligned, restful faith matures into abiding, multiplication, and generational impact. He is also the author of The Good Success.
In both medicine and theology, the governing conviction is the same: precision matters. Diagnosis precedes treatment. Misalignment produces consequence. And the soul — like the heart — was designed to function within an order it did not create and cannot improve upon.
