Shahnaz Begum, MD, FACC, is a Board-certified cardiovascular disease specialist. She is an experienced physician who has been practicing cardiology for over 15 years. 

Dr. Begum received her medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical College in New York. She subsequently completed 3 years of training in Internal Medicine followed by another 3 years of specialized training in Cardiovascular disease/cardiology. She then worked at SUNY Downstate as a faculty physician and Assistant Professor of Cardiology until she moved to Dallas. After that she worked at Texas Health Resource and Plano Presbyterian Hospital for several years as an attending Cardiologist. Since then, she has been providing outstanding cardiac care at Heart Care located in Frisco, Texas. 

Dr. Begum has exceptional knowledge and skills. She excels in diagnosing and treating heart conditions including heart failure, coronary artery disease (CAD), valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, and many more. Dr. Vikas Jindal brings his expertise in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease to the team at HeartPlace Baylor Heart & Vascular Hospital. He welcomes new patients and continues to provide compassionate, individualized care to current patients at his office in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Jindal offers comprehensive cardiovascular care with expert diagnosis and management of chronic conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol and provides advanced intervention to treat arrhythmias and repair cardiovascular disease.

After receiving his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Jindal relocated to Rochester, New York, for residency training in internal medicine at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. He also completed fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Rochester. Over the course of his medical training, Dr. Jindal has published in The Journal of Clinical Hypertension and presented numerous studies at professional cardiovascular conferences.
