Dr. Matchison earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, before attending Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. He later completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and a general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles.

After earning his medical doctorate at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia in 1989, Dr. Kosar completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. He later received additional training through a cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Kosar served as a full-time assistant professor of medicine at USC.

Dr. Makam completed his bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He then pursued his doctorate in osteopathic medicine at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

 

Following medical school, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at LAC+USC Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. His training then took him to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he completed fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, serving as Chief Fellow of the program. He returned to California to complete advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology at Kaiser Sunset Los Angeles Medical Center. Amer Zarka, MD, is a general and interventional cardiologist and managing partner at Good Heart Medical Group, Inc. in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, California. Sang Yong Ji, MD, is a board-certified adult cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at COR Healthcare in Torrance, California. His board certification also includes internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.

Dr. Ji was born in South Korea and moved to Paraguay during his junior high school year. He earned his medical degree from Asunción National University, Paraguay. He then moved to New York City to complete internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine before completing a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated as the Best Resident of the year and with Program director's award & Chief of Division award from internal medicine residency program and cardiology fellowship program respectively. He also served as chief fellow at both Montefiore cardiology fellowship program and Johns Hopkins University cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program. Dr. Curran earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she received the Gilda Lipton Memorial Award for compassionate care and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then moved to San Francisco to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her training, Dr. Curran developed a curriculum that focused on women’s heart disease while researching lifestyle interventions in postpartum women with pregnancy complications. Eric Castleman, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and internist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Los Angeles. Gaurav Banka, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist with a wide range of experience in both cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Banka is proud to bring integrative care to the communities of Los Angeles at COR Healthcare Medical Associates in Torrance and Redondo Beach, California.

A longtime academic, Dr. Banka graduated with honors in biology and health policy from Harvard University. Before attending Stanford University School of Medicine, he spent a year building the Indian government's healthcare system with the Clinton Foundation. He later completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Dr. Banka is trained in all aspects of cardiology but specializes in cardiac imaging. He’s currently Director of Echo at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and part of the Department of Radiology, where he interprets cardiac CTs. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echo, CT, nuclear medicine, and certified in cardiac MRI. He has served on national guideline committees for cardiac care and has published over 20 research publications and presentations at international medical conferences.

Dr. Reddy graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, in Kakinada, India, in 1982. He completed an internship at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai, India, before relocating to the United States. Dr. Reddy moved to Detroit, Michigan, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University.

Passionate about his work, Dr. Reddy pursued additional education by completing cardiology and nuclear cardiology fellowships at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He has treated a variety of cardiac cases ever since, including cardiac rehabilitation, heart attack, carotid ultrasound, hypertension, heart disease, and more.

Dr. Ostrom, who has more than 15 years of experience, serves the Los Angeles communities of Torrance and Redondo Beach, California, at COR Healthcare Medical Associates.

Born and raised in Seattle, Dr. Ostrom received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Washington in 1999. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Dr. Ostrom was actively involved in cardiovascular research at the university and at the local biotechnology company ZymoGenetics, Inc.

Shortly after graduating, Dr. Ostrom began his medical studies at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency through the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) system. In addition, Dr. Ostrom pursued cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, California, and at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. 

Today, Dr. Ostrom is a practicing electrophysiologist, specializing in catheter and device-based therapies in the treatment of complex arrhythmias, syncope, sudden cardiac death, and heart failure.

His research interests include the ablation of complex arrhythmias and device-based treatments for sudden cardiac death and congestive heart failure. Dr. Ostrom has authored or co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed cardiology and electrophysiology journals.
