Education and Clinical Training
Dr. Nair began his medical journey in India, where he was formally trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Critical Care and awarded a Doctorate in Medicine. He completed further medical training in the United Kingdom prior to relocating to the United States.
In the U.S., Dr. Nair completed an internal medicine internship at Case Western Reserve University and his residency training through the Stamford Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons program. He then pursued focused clinical and research work at Hartford Hospital and the University of Connecticut, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network. Dr. Nair completed advanced specialization as Chief Fellow in Interventional Cardiology at Michigan State University under the mentorship of Dr. Tim Fischell, a co-inventor of the coronary stent.
