Shahnaz Begum, MD, FACC, is a Board-certified cardiovascular disease specialist. She is an experienced physician who has been practicing cardiology for over 15 years. 

Dr. Begum received her medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical College in New York. She subsequently completed 3 years of training in Internal Medicine followed by another 3 years of specialized training in Cardiovascular disease/cardiology. After receiving his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Jindal relocated to Rochester, New York, for residency training in internal medicine at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. He also completed fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Rochester. Over the course of his medical training, Dr. Jindal has published in The Journal of Clinical Hypertension and presented numerous studies at professional cardiovascular conferences.

• Brown WR. As a candidate for Biology departmental honors, worked with Dr. K. Loesser to complete a thesis in biological research.
