Dr. Phillip Vournazos grew up in Southern California where he spent his childhood
immersed in athletics, playing soccer, hockey, and football. His passion and talent for
sports earned him a football scholarship to Stony Brook University in Long Island, New
York, where he completed his bachelor’s degree and served as team captain, leading his
team to three division championships.

During his senior year, Dr. Phillip sustained career-ending injuries to his knee, both shoulders, and spine. These challenges marked a turning point in his life, as years of rehabilitation, surgery, and Chiropractic care not only restored his function but also inspired his commitment to health sciences. His firsthand experience with musculoskeletal injuries gave him a deep understanding of the physical and emotional toll they take on athletes and everyday individuals alike.

Motivated by his own journey, Dr. Phillip pursued his Doctorate in Chiropractic. For over 10 years, he has practiced in multidisciplinary settings, treating a wide range of conditions, including spinal subluxations, sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain syndromes. His clinical approach integrates evidence-based Chiropractic care with a strong emphasis on functional recovery, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.

Dr. Phillip is dedicated to helping patients overcome the same types of injuries he once faced, empowering them to regain mobility, strength, and confidence. Outside of his practice, Dr. Phillip enjoys country music, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with his wife and their one-year-old daughter. Dr. Berry is licensed by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners and a certificate holder of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is licensed by the State of California as a Radiography X-ray Supervisor and Operator. He did his undergraduate studies in biology at the California State Universities, Chico and San Diego. Dr. Berry achieved academic honors while attending the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where he graduated with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree and then completed his clinical internship in early 1997. He has been a colleague of La Costa Chiropractic since 1996, and the Clinic Director since 2005.

Dr. Berry continuously challenges and updates himself with continuing education seminars, conventions and symposiums focusing on a variety of topics including sports injuries, traumatic injuries, pediatrics and advanced topics in clinical chiropractic. He received a postgraduate diploma from the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance in electromyographic theory, technique, and interpretation.  Dr. Berry was the recipient of the "Chiropractor of The Year" award in 2009 from The Masters Circle group.

Dr. Berry sees patients of all ages and uses a variety of techniques in his practice including; Diversified, Upper Cervical Specific, Thompson drop table, Cox flexion/distraction technique, and Activator method. Dr. Berry directs his practice towards allowing chiropractic to help improve his patients' health naturally while addressing their symptoms, prevention, overall spinal function and wellness. Dr. Berry takes pride in the fact that he has helped many patients avoid surgery, require less medication, recover from injuries, and help conditions where traditional medicine was unsuccessful.

Dr. Berry enjoys being active in the North County community. He is a member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, has served as the team chiropractor for the North County Cheetahs semi-pro football team and has provided his services to the San Marcos High Football Team.

Out of the practice, Dr. Berry is a native Californian and was born and raised here in North County. He was an oarsman for the San Diego State University Men's Crew Team and currently enjoys surfing, snow skiing, exercise, outdoors, and time with his wife and children.

Dr. Spencer is a native of Encinitas, CA, and has been licensed by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners since October 2025. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside in 2021 and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2025.

She has been an advocate of chiropractic her whole life, having sustained sports injuries throughout her childhood that were successfully treated through chiropractic care. She uses these experiences to help focus her practice around a variety of topics such as pediatrics, family care, sports injuries, and preventative treatment. She incorporates a variety of techniques to best suit the needs of every individual patient, such as Diversified, Thompson drop table, Cox flexion/distraction, SOT blocking, Activator technique, and the Sigma Station.

Eylyn Manalo, RN, BSN, MPT, DPT is a Registered Nurse with a unique clinical background rooted in more than 20 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist. Holding both a Master's and Doctorate in Physical Therapy, she brings extensive expertise in anatomy, movement science, rehabilitation, and patient-centered care. This strong foundation enhances her ability to perform aesthetic treatments with precision, safety, and attention to individualized patient outcomes.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Eylyn has completed advanced training in Botox, dermal fillers, IPL/Photofacial treatments, laser hair removal, microneedling, medical-grade chemical peels, medical-grade skincare, and comprehensive skin rejuvenation therapies. Thomas Marinaro, D.C. attended Chiropractic school in Marietta, Ga where he finished four years and earned his Doctor in Chiropractic. He chose this school due to its philosophy & reputation in teaching a more diverse approach along with its skills in adjusting the human spine.

Dr. Marinaro comes from a family of Chiropractors. His dad TJ, graduated from NY Chiropractic college and was one of the first Chiropractors to practice in Rome, Italy. He remembers with pride & amazement on how the patients responded with satisfaction after an adjustment. Not to say the line of patients spilling into the streets waiting to get adjusted that had a great influence in Dr Marinaro’s decision to follow the same profession.

After completing his undergraduate in Italy, he then moved back to the States to pursue his studies in Chiropractic. After completing 4 years, instead of joining his dad in Rome who was holding the practice for him, he decided to join his brother in Los Angeles where they opened 3 offices & practiced together before selling the practices & then finally opening up on there own.

Dr. Marinaro has been practicing on 3rd & Sweetzer in Los Angeles, & W. Hollywood, Beverly Hills for the past 25 years. He joined a close MD friend from Harvard and attended and earned a Doctorate in Homeopathy which he incorporates along with rehabilitation, fitness, exercise & nutrition in his practice & approach to health & treatments of the spine & body.

At the Pain Relief Center, in addition to Chiropractic, they offer a variety of massages and Acupuncture. His patient base is largely from the entertainment industry and they accept most private PPO insurances.
