Jay Jensen, DDS, is a general and cosmetic dentist and the founder of Plaza Dental Group in West Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Jensen enjoys empowering his patients to be their very best and caring for all of their dental needs. 

Dr. Jensen grew up in Polk City, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa on an Army ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1991 with his bachelor’s degree. In 1995, he went on to pursue his doctorate in dental surgery through the University of Iowa College of Dentistry before fulfilling his army obligation in Fort Hood, Texas. 

After practicing dentistry in the US army, he moved back to Iowa and began working as an associate dentist under his childhood dentist. He later purchased the practice and operated it for many years prior to merging it with Plaza Dental Group.

Colin Odland, DDS, is a dedicated family dentist at Plaza Dental Group in West Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Odland is proud to deliver outstanding dental care to the local individuals and families in the community. 

Dr. Odland grew up on a farm outside of Clarion, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University for his undergraduate studies before moving on to complete his doctorate in dental surgery at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Deborah Dietrich, DDS, is a general and cosmetic dentist at Plaza Dental Group in West Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Dietrich enjoys all aspects of dentistry and continually strives to provide the best care possible for her patients. 

Dr. Dietrich was accepted into an accelerated pre-dental program at the University of Iowa to prepare for dental school. She then went on to pursue her doctorate in dental surgery at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2011. After graduating, she worked as an associate dentist in Iowa for five years before deciding to live in Chicago and California. She worked for the highly regarded cosmetic dentist, Dr. David Hornbrook, in San Diego. 

After spending some time in California, she returned to Iowa to be closer to friends and family and joined the practice family at Plaza Dental Group. Dr. Dietrich enjoys helping her patients achieve beautiful, radiant smiles and impacting their lives in a positive way. Her dentistry knowledge spans across many disciplines, including complete smile makeovers, orthodontics with Invisalign®, implant dentistry, and oral appliance therapy. 

Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Dietrich embarking and participating in new ventures. Dr. Steffany Mohan lives in Clive, IA, with her husband, Mike, and their four wonderful, sweet, crazy kiddos, Luke, Camaryn, Halle, and Josh. They also have a rather large, lovable cat named Nahla. As a family, they love to swim, bike, play golf and tennis, and hang out watching movies. Dr. Steffany Mohan can also be found at the farm and spending lots of time outdoors. She loves to read and would stay up all night with a good book if she could!

Dr. Steffany Mohan is also active in the community and volunteers for the mobile dental clinic, Mission of Mercy, Saving Smiles, Halloween Candy Buy Back, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Donated Dental Services.

Jason Brown, DDS, is a skilled Doctor of Dental Surgery specializing in Cosmetic, Family, Implant, General Dentistry, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Brown provides all his patients with exceptional comprehensive care at Campustown Dental in Ames, Iowa. He is excited to return to Ames and serve Story County’s dental needs.

Dr. Brown grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. After high school, he attended Iowa State University, where he played all four years of varsity ice hockey with the Cyclones winning the CSCHL tournament his senior year in 2007.

He then graduated from dental school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City in 2011. Since graduating from dental school, he has been practicing general dentistry on the east side of Des Moines in both Pleasant Hill and Bondurant.

Dr. Wu brings more than 12 years of dental experience to the practice. She began her professional pursuits at the Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. There, Dr. Wu received extensive clinical training to deliver high-quality family dentistry.

Jessica Sanborn, DDS, is a general dentist at Urbandale Smiles. She is happy to be a part of the wonderful team and serve patients in Urbandale, Iowa. 

Dr. Sanborn was born and raised in a city called Lincoln in Nebraska. She completed her doctorate in dental surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015. After obtaining her degree, she practiced as a full-time dentist in rural Nebraska for four years. 

She decided to move with her daughters and husband, who is a nurse, and take a new direction in their lives. They decided to pursue their passion for adventure and have spent three years traveling around the United States. 

Dr. Sanborn spent that time being a temporary dentist while balancing her life as a full-time mom, and her husband took jobs as a travel nurse. Their family is grateful for all the opportunities and sights they were able to experience. 

She is excited to settle down and call the Des Moines area her home. At Urbandale Smiles, she looks forward to providing top dental care using the latest treatments and offering her broad insight into patient care.

Ryan Langel, DDS, is a driven and passionate Doctor of Dental Surgery at Westgate Dental in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Langel feels fortunate to be providing the West Des Moines community with high-quality and comprehensive dental care, a community he calls home.

Dr. Langel was raised on a farm in rural Le Mars, Iowa, the Ice Cream Capitol of the World. In 2011, he graduated from Iowa State University in Ames with a degree in agriculture and then returned to Le Mars, where he worked on his family farm with his father. After seven years of farming, he decided on a career change to focus on his passion for dentistry.

He graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry. He found a passion for dentistry through his own oral health, finding that the health of the oral cavity is crucial to the health of the person.

Dr. Langel enjoys providing a comfortable, calm, and friendly experience for all his patients while improving their overall health and creating beautiful smiles. He says that building a relationship with his patients is one of the great things about being a dentist.
