Dr. Karderro Dixon was born in Houston, Texas, but raised in Houma, Louisiana, a city known for its vibrant Cajun culture. At an early age, Dr. Dixon realized he had a passion for caring for others and was reminded by his parents that there was no ceiling to his potential. He pursued his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. 

While at Meharry, Dr. Dixon was instilled with the values of excellence, accountability, and having a servant’s heart.

While in dental school, Dr. Chidi was actively involved in leadership and service, serving on the Student National Dental Association (SNDA) National Executive Board, leading her local SNDA chapter as president, and mentoring future healthcare professionals through Black Girls White Coat.In recognition of her leadership and dedication to service, she was named the inaugural recipient of the Jeanne Sinkford Leadership Award at Creighton University.
