Adam Smith, DDS, is a general and family dentist and the owner of Smile Structure Dentistry and Braces, which has four locations in San Antonio and another in Helotes, Texas. 

Dr. Smith graduated from San Diego State University in 1998 with a major in psychology and a minor in political science. He then enlisted in the US Army and served as a special operations soldier with the elite US Army Rangers stationed in Ft. Lewis, Washington. After the military, he attended The prestigious University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco. From San Francisco, Dr. Smith moved to Northern California and practiced in private practice for two years, where he learned advanced dental procedures, including implants, endodontics, and wisdom tooth extractions. 

In late 2011, Dr. Smith and his family relocated to deep south Texas, where he practiced dentistry for six years in the Rio Grande Valley, learning to work with children while raising his own three kids with his beautiful wife, Melissa. Eager to begin the next chapter of their lives, Dr. Smith purchased Smile Structure Dentistry and Braces in late 2017 and moved his family to San Antonio, where they can finally plant roots and have a wonderful city to call home. Dr. Smith brings with him his commitment to excellence, never-quit attitude, and years of training and experience to provide our patients with an unrivaled dental experience and quality dental care in a relaxed environment.

Tian Meng, DDS, PhD, is a fellowship-trained general and family dentist at Smile Structure Dentistry and Braces, providing comprehensive oral health care to individuals and families at offices in San Antonio, Texas, and Helotes, Texas.

Dr. Meng was born and raised in China. He earned his dental degree and PhD from the West China School of Stomatology at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China. 

After graduation, Dr. Meng moved to the United States and completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed a visiting scholar program at Stanford University in Stanford, California, and a postdoctoral research program at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas.

Before joining the Smile Structure Dentistry and Braces team, Dr. Meng earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with a distinction in dental education from the University of Texas (UT) Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.

At Smile Structure Dentistry and Braces, Dr. Meng diagnoses and treats various oral conditions and specializes in dental implants and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Meng’s extensive surgical knowledge and expertise allow him to manage a wide range of issues, including missing teeth, impacted teeth, and oral cancer.

Dr. Vaughan received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. She attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After graduating from dental school, she completed a two-year residency in general dentistry. Upon completing her residency, Dr. Vaughan taught at the dental school in both the graduate and undergraduate general dentistry programs.

Following her tenure in academia, Dr. Vaughan has enjoyed practicing dentistry in the San Antonio community for many years. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the San Antonio District Dental Society.

Dr. Kordab attended the University Of Tennessee — College Of Dentistry in Memphis and earned her DDS in 2006. She then received her Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2010, and Masters in Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Memphis in 2015. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and San Antonio District Dental Society.

Dr. Kordab served as an adjunct faculty with the University of Tennessee — College of Dentistry and was the clinic director at the Tennessee Department of Health in Jackson, TN, where she served the community in the West TN region by providing and supervising dental students in delivering dental services. She moved with her family to San Antonio, Texas in 2014, where she practiced dentistry and earned her Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of Texas Health at San Antonio in 2018. Currently, Dr. Kordab enjoys practicing general dentistry.

Following her belief in giving back to the community, Dr, Kordab has volunteered and provided dental services during numerous dental events, including Give Kids a Smile and Special Olympics. She also participated in outreach programs serving Head Start children and school children in the Bolivar and West Tennessee area.
