Leila Shahbazi, DMD, is a general and cosmetic dentist, serving patients at Pure Smiles, located in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Shahbazi grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and decided to stay close to home for college and attend Arizona State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she pursued her dream to become a dentist by attending the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, AZ. She got her education through the Holistic Dental Association after graduation. She focused on practicing Holistically to make a difference. While in dental school, Dr. Shahbazi learned about the medical and dental challenges our under-served communities face and decided to participate in a dual-degree program, where she also received a Master’s degree in Public Health, along with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

During her extensive exposure to the public health system and mission trips serving underprivileged patient populations, her compassion for her work grew deeper. While working with under-served patients, Dr. Shahbazi realized the importance of practicing dentistry in a holistic manner. She loves to travel internationally and likes to talk about visiting twenty countries in less than two years. Dr. Donald Hom began providing dental care in Arizona in 2002 after graduating from USC School of Dentistry. He additionally completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Tucson, Arizona through the Lutheran Medical Program. Looking to further challenge himself, Donald sought to pursue his interest in providing anesthesia to the dental community. After completion of the Dental Anesthesiology Residency at Loma Linda University in 2006, he returned to Arizona to fulfill his goal of serving the Valley of the Sun.
