Blake Kimbrell, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist at ENT of Athens, providing complete ear, nose, and throat care to people of all ages living in Athens, Georgia.
Dr. Kimbrell was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia. He began his professional pursuits at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Following graduation, Dr. Kimbrell remained at Mercer and earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine. He excelled in the program and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Kimbrell completed an otolaryngology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Kimbrell has special interests in adult and pediatric general ENT. He particularly enjoys treating thyroid and parathyroid disease, voice and swallowing disorders. Dr. Kimbrell also specializes in endoscopic sinus surgery and the surgical management of sleep apnea and head and neck cancer.
In his free time, Dr. Kimbrell serves as an assistant clinical professor at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG)/University of Georgia (UGA) Medical Partnership in the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Kimbrell also serves on the board of the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashlee Kimbrell, a doctor and colorectal surgeon, and their two children.
