Tessa Shuler, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and former Registered Nurse; she worked in the Intensive Care Unit for 7 years. She received her BSN from the University of Hawaii, Manoa and her MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Channel Islands. Her experience as an RN in the high intensity environment of critical care gave her the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs, as well as to care for the whole patient and their families. Caring for critically ill patients gave her the understanding of the importance of overall health maintenance and preventative care. She strives to deeply educate patients and families about their health, diagnoses, and medications in order to optimize their health. She values patients’ ideas and knowledge of their own health, and works to empower them to live as healthfully as possible.
When not working, she strives to be outside as often as possible: hiking, biking, and chasing after her two young sons among all the nature we have available in our county.

Christopher James Brana was born and raised in the Inland Empire of Southern California. During high school and college years he worked in his family’s Biomedical Engineering Company specializing in servicing renal replacement technology/equipment.
He went on to complete his bachelors in science and medical training at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. Thereafter, he began residency at St. Barnabas Hospital. As a PGY1, he received a Peer to Peer Award for Best Physician.
While conducting research, he assisted in publishing a study analyzing inner city patients undergoing hepatitis C therapy. As a PGY2, he began to design and execute retrospective studies co-authoring in 8 posters, which were presented at the 2018 ACG meeting. During the 2018 SBH Resident Research Day, he presented 5 posters, of those presented one was awarded, “Best Clinical Research Award”.
During the last year as a PGY-3, he received the Ronald Ciubotaru Award for being an exceptional clinician, dedicated mentor and valued colleague, characterized by integrity and humility and deeply committed to teaching and the delivery of compassionate care.

Adam Weitzman, MD, is a Pain Management physician who practices in four Los Angeles locations, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance and Seal Beach, California. He is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Weitzman earned his medical degree and graduated with honors from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. He then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a residency in anesthesiology at Temple University, both in Philadelphia. Afterward, he finished an ACGME recognized fellowship in pain management at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York City, where he served as chief fellow.
He focuses on state-of-the-art therapies for acute and chronic pain. Dr. Weitzman uses a multidisciplinary approach that includes chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy, stem cell therapy, and interventional pain techniques. Brenton Bauer, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare in Los Angeles. An award-winning physician, Dr. Bauer has been named to the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) national conference program faculty, as an ACC National FIT (Fellows in Training) Jeopardy Competition finalist, as a finalist for the UCLA Most Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award, and won the best poster presentation in congenital heart disease at the American College of Cardiology’s 2015 conference, among others.
In his leisure time, Dr. Bauer loves traveling the world with his wife and junior high sweetheart. They particularly enjoy experiencing different cultures, trying amazing food, and learning different languages (to which he is fluent in English and Spanish and working on others including Italian).

Born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Wong was a three-sport athlete and musician in high-school. He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to study Computer Science and Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California. After graduating from the Keck School of Medicine at USC, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the LAC+USC Medical Center, and he was honored as Senior Resident of the Year during his final year. After residency, Dr. Wong stayed at LAC+USC for his fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.
On a personal note, Dr. Wong is married to his high-school sweetheart, Lindsay. They spend their spare time with their two daughters and miniature dachshund. When they are not taxiing the kids to soccer and ninja warrior practice, they enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
Dr. Wong takes a very personal approach to his patient care, developing a close rapport with all his patients in this small boutique-style practice. His training at the Los Angeles County Hospital has made him an extremely thorough and experienced physician, providing the highest quality evidence-based treatment. He is especially adept at the management of difficult-to-treat asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, and sinus disease. He is also well-versed in the most current literature and treatment guidelines for food allergies, drug allergies, immunodeficiencies, urticaria, contact dermatitis, and other skin allergies.

With a broad range of experience, Dr. Matchison is proud to serve the communities of Torrance and Redondo Beach, California.
Dr. Matchison earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, before attending Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. He later completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and a general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Nadia Jafar Curran, MD, is a board-certified internist and cardiologist at COR Healthcare Medical Associates. She specializes in women’s cardiovascular disease, general cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Curran earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she received the Gilda Lipton Memorial Award for compassionate care and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then moved to San Francisco to complete her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her training, Dr. Curran developed a curriculum that focused on women’s heart disease while researching lifestyle interventions in postpartum women with pregnancy complications. This research resulted in multiple presentations and publications, and informed the most recent guidelines on adverse pregnancy outcomes and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Curran is excited to join COR Healthcare Medical Associates and brings her expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions, including risk factor assessment, prevention, microvascular dysfunction, coronary artery disease, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), valvular heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, preconception counseling, and pregnancy-related heart health.
