Dr. Vinod Somareddy, PT, DPT, is the founder and president of Reddy Care Physical & Occupational Therapy with locations throughout New York in Farmingdale, Great Neck, North Shore Towers, Oceanside, Woodbury, Bayside, Deer Park, and Upper Westside of New York Cit. Started in 2003, Dr. Somareddy built his practice under the guiding principles of providing quality care that fosters a patient-centered culture committed to improving the lives of everyone who comes through the door. 

As the eldest son in the family, Dr. Somareddy decided to honor his father’s own dedication to patient care, naming his practice after him. Dr. Somareddy’s father, nicknamed “Reddy,” worked as a nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he garnered a reputation for his knowledge, perseverance, and compassionate patient care. Dr. Berkel received her medical education at Michigan State University and continued her Internship and Residency at Rutgers Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Berkel is committed to continuous, comprehensive, compassionate and personal care of her patients through every life stage. Dr. Mohan was born and raised in India. She studied at Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, Telangana, India, earning her medical degree. After graduation, Dr. Mohan completed a medical internship at Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, in Hyderabad, India, before moving to the United States.

Upon arriving in America, Dr. Mohan completed an internal medicine residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. She excelled in the program, becoming chief resident in her final year.

Dr. Rajiyah earned her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin and completed internal medicine and pediatrics residencies at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Rajiyah also completed pediatric and adult endocrinology training at the University of Chicago in Illinois.

Abbas A. Shehadeh, MD is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with over three decades of experience in clinical practice, medical research, and academic medicine. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology, he provides comprehensive cardiac care with a focus on advanced interventional procedures, preventative cardiology, and heart failure management.

Dr. Shehadeh earned his M.D. from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj Napoca, Romania, graduating cum laude. He completed his internal medicine training at MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University and advanced cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He later served as an interventional cardiology fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Currently, Dr. Shehadeh leads his private practice in West Orange, New Jersey, and is also affiliated with The Heart Centre of The Oranges. In addition, he holds the academic appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ, where he has contributed to the training of future physicians for over two decades.

A respected voice in cardiology, Dr. Shehadeh has presented at national conferences and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. His research spans electrophysiology, hypertension, diabetes-related cardiac dysfunction, and interventional techniques. He has received numerous honors, including recognition in Marquis Who’s Who in America.

Dr. Shehadeh is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, and other leading professional organizations.

Fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Romanian, Dr. Shehadeh is known for his compassionate, multilingual care and deep commitment to cardiovascular excellence.

Gitendra Rajiyah, MD, is a double-board-certified internal medicine physician and cardiologist at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, serving patients at the East Orange, New Jersey, office on Evergreen Place. The practice also has offices in West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, and Bloomfield, New Jersey. 

Dr. Rajiyah studied at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He then spent several years gaining experience in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, neurology, geriatrics, and psychology.

In 1988, Dr. Rajiyah enrolled at the University of London in the United Kingdom and completed an internal medicine and psychiatry fellowship at the University College Hospital. He moved to the United States the following year and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark.

Dr. Rajiyah also spent one year as a dedicated researcher under the guidance of Timothy Reagan, MD, chairman of the Division of Cardiology at New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) Rutgers Health. He also completed a cardiology fellowship, serving patients at several hospitals throughout New Jersey. 

Dr. Rajiyah is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He’s also a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the British Medical Association, and the Sri Lanka Medical Association. 

While Dr. Rajiyah specializes in internal medicine and cardiology, he also has a special interest in gastroenterology. He is very active in the New Jersey medical community and serves on the Critical Care Committee at East Orange General Hospital and served as chief of cardiology there between 2005-2009.
