I graduated from Damascus medical school in 2005. Residency was in UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. Although I trained in Medicine, I have a special interest in Infectious disease field. I graduated medical school with an honor and the rank of second on the class. Not only upon graduation, was I honored, I also had the first rank in 2nd, and 3rd years of medical school. Also I was ranked second in 4th year. Upon high school graduation, I had the first student award in the Syrian national exam ( 1 of 20000 students) . During residency training, I was a co-author of a paper that got the Stephen Vogel award, as a top paper by a resident/fellow published in United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Jornals, 2009. Through active listing and thoughtful questioning, I am to deliver high quality health care that utilizes the most recent advancements in medicine. While using my past 20 years experince in primary care, I treat multiple diseases as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, high Cholesterol and many others. I received my MD degree from "Universidad Mundial Dominicana" Santo Domingo, D.R. and completed my Internal Medicine residency program from St. Johns Episcopal Hospital, NY. I am affiliated with St. Johns Episcopal and NYU Langones (Winthrop) hospitals. As a designated Civil Surgeon I also Perform Phycial Examination for U.S. Immigration Sevices.
