Dr. Patel began his higher education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following medical school, Dr. Patel completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. A significant chapter in Dr. Patel's career involved practicing on the island of Maui, where he was affiliated with Maui Memorial Medical Center and the Pacific Permanente Group.
