Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Mehta grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Memorial High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduated on the Dean’s List. He continued to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He furthered his training in cardiology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he was trained in specialized invasive procedures and diagnostic imaging. He joined Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in 1998.
Dr. Mehta has expertise in cardiology, including the evaluation of common cardiac complaints such as chest pain, shortness of breath, passing out, leg swelling, and palpitations. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology, including management of high blood pressure and cholesterol disorders, as well as management of the disease after they have developed such circulatory problems of the legs, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Dr. Mehta places special emphasis on patient education. Dr. Odhav was born in Zambia, Africa. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Zambia, he attended the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency and a year as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor.

Adil Asaduddin, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Katy Internists. Dr. Asaduddin provides comprehensive medical care to patients at the Katy Internists medical office in Houston.
Dr. Asaduddin grew up in southwest Houston. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, then completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Dr. Asaduddin’s first year of residency in internal medicine took place at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. After finishing his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, he then moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where he worked as a hospitalist at the Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals, a part of the Evanston Northwestern health care system. As a hospitalist, Dr. Asaduddin admitted and managed patients and also mentored residents in training.
After working in the Aurora, Illinois, area for a few years, during which time he was part of a committee focused on improving electronic medical record systems, Dr. Asaduddin returned to his home city of Houston in 2008 to open Katy Internists. Mubarak Khawaja, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with training in pulmonary medicine, and has over 30 years of experience in acute and chronic health care management. Dr. Khawaja received his medical degree from Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Sindh, Pakistan, in 1987.
