Tess Chamakkala, DO, is excited to join the team at Endocrine and Psychiatry Center in Katy and Houston, Texas. As a skilled endocrinologist, Dr. Chamakkala is passionate about general adult endocrinology and managing conditions, including diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Fordham University in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City, New York, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, she attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine on Long Island. She underwent rigorous Internal Medicine residency training and later completed an Endocrinology fellowship through St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania. She recently relocated to Texas.

Harman Kular, MD specializes in critical care and pulmonary medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and board eligible in critical care. Dr. Kular completed all of his medical educaton and training through Baylor College of Medicine, which allowed him to practice in a wide variety of settings within the Texas Medical Center, including the Harris Health System and the Veterans Affairs Health System. Lakshmy V. Ayyar, MD, FCCP is a pulmonologist at Texas Multi-Specialty Group with one office in Cypress and two in Houston, Texas. Dr. Sohal grew up in NW Houston area as a child, where he attended school in Klein ISD. After medical school he went on to complete residency and fellowship training at University of Missouri in Columbia. 

Dr. Sohal has particular interest in COPD/emphysema including evaluation and placement of endobronchial valves, interstitial lung disease/pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, bronchiectasis, COVID lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, lung nodules and cancer, pleural effusions and more.
