Board-certified family physician Naz Wahab, MD, and her team at Wound Care Experts offer a progressive and integrative approach to medicine at their practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Naz Wahab is a Board-certified physician and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association who has practiced in Southern Nevada since 2003. After completion of her residency training, she established her family medicine practice in Las Vegas. During this time, she encountered and treated countless patients. This gave her a sense of the gaps in patient care in our community.
One such gap was the lack of proper wound care. Hoping to do her part to meet this need, she began to offer these services. Thus, Wound Care Experts was born, and over the past 20 years has grown into a multimodal wound care and tissue regeneration service line. Today, Dr. Wahab and her team of providers offer the Las Vegas area modern, evidence-based, and advanced wound healing modalities. Examples include macrophage technology, negative pressure wound therapy, hyperbaric & topical oxygen therapy, near-infrared spectroscopy and stem cell therapy.
Some of the most common wounds the group treats include diabetic, arterial, venous, pressure, post-surgical, radiation-induced, autoimmune, palliative wounds, as well as countless other less common wounds. Wound Care Experts also help patients optimize all aspects of their health that plays a role in wound healing. Anjum Ismail, MD, MBA, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Advanced Heart Care Associates, serving at their Henderson, Nevada location. Dr. Ismail brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise to the practice and has worked as a cardiology and internal medicine specialist in a variety of settings.
Hailing from Pakistan, Dr. Ismail completed his undergraduate studies at Graduate Forman Christian College in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1982. He later attended King Edward Medical College in Lahore, graduating with his medical doctorate in 1988. He completed his first internship in internal medicine and general and pediatric surgery at Mayo Hospital in Lahore in 1989.
After moving to the Bronx in New York City, Dr. Ismail completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in 1995, where he became chief resident. Four years later, he relocated to Orange, California, and completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of California Irvine.
Today, Dr. Ismail holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography, and he is on the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He also has a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Dr. Ismail provides complete care for cardiology conditions ranging from arrhythmia and chest pain to congestive heart failure and palpitations. He stays abreast of the latest treatments in cardiology, including the newest pacemaker technology, stents, and peripheral intervention.
Outside of his work at Advanced Heart Care Associates, Dr. Ismail is director of the Chest Pain Center at St. Rose Siena Campus in Henderson, Nevada. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary, Angiography, and Intervention. He is also a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Ben Kermani has been practicing internal medicine for 27 years in the Las Vegas area. He believes in supportive, personalized care that creates a trusting partnership with his patients. He has a keen interest in preventive medicine and evidence-based pharmacologic therapies and has performed research into the role of mitochondria in cell aging.
Dr. Kermani received his doctor of medicine from the University of Santiago School of Medicine. Further training included an externship at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and an internal medicine residency at the University of Nevada.
Dr. Kermani has the distinguished honor of being designated as a Premium Provider by UnitedHealth. Additionally, he has ranked in the 98th percentile in Quality of Care by Medicare in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Dr. Kermani is also involved in academia, holding a preceptorship for Touro University medical students. In addition, he served on the Dignity Health SRQCN Board of Managers.
