When’s he’s not treating patients, Dr. Jackson is a ham radio operator with an interest in near space balloon communications. He enjoys relaxing with his wife, Susan, and spending time with their 11 grandchildren.

Dr. Shin is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and internal medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and she attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Shin completed her residency at the UCLA San Fernando Valley program, where she was chief resident, and her fellowships at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California and Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Shin specializes in interventional cardiology, management of advanced cardiac disease, cardiac catheterization, coronary stent placement, peripheral arterial disease and intervention, echocardiography, stress echocardiography and pacemakers.
She sits on numerous committees and is the Cardiology Subcommittee Chair for Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
She has received multiple honors and awards including the Society of Geriatric Cardiology Research Award; the Preventative Cardiology Award Program Grant; and the American Heart Association Fellowship Research Grant. Dr. Shin has been practicing in the South Bay for over 10 years. She is fluent in English and Korean.
