Vijay Swarup, MD, FACC, FHRS, is one of the physicians at Arizona Heart Rhythm Center, which has locations in Phoenix, Peoria, Gilbert, and Prescott, Arizona. Dr. Zoltowska then completed her residency in Internal Medicine from Western Michigan University in Kalamzoo and her Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Florida College of Medicine. 

While in Florida, she developed a passion for clinical excellence and research by participating in various studies to reduce events in non-obstructive coronary artery disease. 

Her areas of interest include coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, venous reflux disease, adtult congenital heart disease, heart failure, advanced echocardiography, nulear cardiology, and preventative cardiology. 

Dr. Dominika Zoltowska is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Zoltowska is also certified in Physicians Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). She is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Gomes earned her doctorate in medicine and surgery from the University of Liverpool School of Medicine in Liverpool, England. Ramy Doss, MD, specializes in interventional cardiology, peripheral, and endovascular medicine, with commendable qualifications earned in New York and Egypt. Once he received his medical degree, he moved to New York for his residency in internal medicine at Staten Island University Hospital. After his residency, Dr. Doss continued his training with two fellowships at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in New York for cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Shakeel Khan, MD, FACC, is an adept and attentive cardiologist. He’s is our managing partner and a proud member of the team of renowned physicians at Phoenix Heart, which has locations across the greater Phoenix area – Glendale, Goodyear, Scottsdale, Avondale, Laveen, Anthem, Cottonwood, and Black Canyon City, Arizona.

Dr. Khan was educated in India, where he graduated from the National Degree College in Bangalore and earned his medical degree from the Al-Ameen Medical School in Dharwad, Karnataka, India. He completed an internship at St. John’s Medical College Hospital in Bangalore before relocating to the United States, where he continued his medical training at Michigan State University. He completed an internship in internal medicine and served as the chief medical resident at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, and completed two fellowships, one in cardiology at the University of Michigan’s East Lansing campus, and one in interventional cardiology at the university’s Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Dr. Rizwan graduated from Hamdard University in Karachi, Pakistan in 2003 with honors. He completed his internship and residency in Maryland, at University of Maryland Prince George's Hospital Center and then completed Rheumatology fellowship at St. Louis University School of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology. Dr. Rizwan has since won multiple awards for his dedication and care and is known for his compassion and keen ability to answer patient questions in depth. Charlie Piermarini, PA-C, MSPAS, MS, MPH, is a certified Physician Associate (PA-C) providing individualized care to people of all ages at Complete Injury & Wellness in Phoenix, Arizona. 

After completing his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, he went on to receive his Master of Public Health and Joint Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University in Vallejo, California. 

During this time, Charlie spent his summers as an EMT at Lions Camp Tatiyee in Show Low, Arizona, a special needs summer camp serving physically and mentally challenged children and adults. His passion for medicine was solidified by the experience of caring for individuals there. 

Charlie went on to work as a Physician Assistant at several urgent cares and at different pain management specialists in Arizona, before co-founding and acting as a Physician Assistant and CEO of The Healing Joint and Integrative Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Tammy Penhollow, DO, is an experienced pain management and regenerative medicine specialist practicing at Precision Regenerative Medicine, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is skilled in image-guided joint and spine injections and regenerative aesthetic procedures.
