Kathryn received her undergraduate degree with a Psychology major from C.W. Post University. Following graduation she began a career in Behavioral Analysis. After a few years of using behavioral analytical techniques with the Autistic population, she received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York University.

I am a Brooklyn native and senior psychotherapist who is proficient in working with clients to broaden their awareness of themselves, their thoughts, and their feelings. I offer therapy that is largely rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based approaches. Deborah is a relational psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples in an attuned and compassionate manner. She is especially interested in helping people to heal from anxiety, depression, and grief; to recover from trauma (recent or long ago); to navigate complex relationships, ADHD, or the numerous challenges and transitions at all stages of life. She has specialized training in EMDR for trauma and mindfulness approaches for anxiety and depression.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Deborah practiced as a family law attorney, working with those struggling with family dissolution, domestic violence, and emotional strain. She also has worked in education, in the theater as an actor and director, and as a journalist for ABC News. In addition, Deborah is the mother of four “young adult” children. Deborah sees each of these professional and personal paths as having intertwined throughout her life, ultimately enabling her to become the therapist she is today. Whether her clients are facing difficult transitions, trying to reconnect with themselves, or struggling with relationships or stress, Deborah integrates various treatment modalities to help them navigate their challenges, develop clarity and move towards greater happiness. I worked extensively with families grappling with mental health and substance abuse challenges. This experience has given me profound insights into the intricate dynamics of healing journeys. My commitment lies in translating this understanding into impactful therapeutic interventions, fostering growth and well-being for individuals and families in need. Prior to my residency at The Soho Center, I completed my practicum, working with a diverse range of individuals, including minorities, children, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals. I provided support for issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, marital issues, substance abuse, and more. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College.

Dr. Yelyzaveta Prysyazhnyuk is a compassionate and highly trained physician with a strong commitment to advancing mental health care. She brings a rich background in internal medicine and a deep interest in the intersection of physical and mental well-being to her role at Vital Psych MD LLC. Dr. Prysyazhnyuk completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College of Columbia University before earning her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell NS/LIJ, where she also obtained certifications as a clinician educator and in lifestyle medicine. At Vital Psych MD, Dr. Prysyazhnyuk is excited to focus her practice on supporting individuals through evidence-based care that bridges the gap between physical and mental health. Board-certified neurologist Farhad Elyaderani, MD, offers specialized brain and nervous system disorder diagnosis and treatment at his modern, well-equipped offices in Yonkers and New Rochelle, New York.

Dr. Elyaderani sees adult patients over age 18, who affected by neck and back pain, headaches, migraines, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and other forms of dementia.

Anastasios Manessis, MD, FACE, ECNU, ABOM, is a double-board certified physician at  Endocrine Associates of West Village PC in Murray Hill, Manhattan, and Long Island City, New York, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and obesity medicine. Dr. Manessis has an endocrine certification in neck ultrasounds and has extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormonal dysfunction, and obesity.  

Dr. Manessis pursued his undergraduate education at Manhattan College, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Manessis completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York. Following a year as chief medical resident, he completed a two-year clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, where his research interest, among others, involved the use of insulin pumps in patients with Type II diabetes. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Manessis was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at New York Medical College from 2008-2010. He then joined the faculty of New York University in 2011. He has been involved in many clinical research projects, including long-term studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GLP-I agonists and weight loss agents. Dr. Manessis’ primary clinical interest includes the treatment of diabetic patients with insulin pumps and how it has benefited the well-being of patients long-term.
