Dr. Raabia Ahmad is originally from St. Louis, Missouri where she attended college at Washington University. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she attended medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Ahmad then completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. After completing her medical training, she worked outside Boston in the Mass General Brigham system for 5 years before moving to the Bay Area in search of warmer weather. She joined Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists in 2021 and has built a successful practice during her short time here. She also has taken on several administrative roles including President of ACS and is the co-medical director for Heart Failure at El Camino Hospital.

Dr. Ahmad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Originally from Maryland, her training began at Johns Hopkins followed by medical school at the University of Virginia. From there she moved to California to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Stanford followed by Cardiology fellowship within the STAR research track at the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Her research training in bioinformatics and genetics has given her an appreciation for an analytic approach to assessing individualized risks and benefits of available treatment options.
