Mukesh Ahluwalia, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist/intensivist and sleep medicine specialist. Dr. Ahluwalia earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. He stayed in New Delhi for his internship, which he completed at the Safdarjung Hospital, but then relocated to Chicago for his internal medicine residency, which he completed at Grant Hospital of Chicago and Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital, now known as Rush University Medical Center. Before finishing, his program awarded him with a certificate of outstanding teaching to the house staff of medical students.
Dr. Ahluwalia finished his post-graduate training in New York, with a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn and a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Ahluwalia is highly skilled in his specialties, and he maintains board-certification in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. He’s a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and his work has been published in the Journal of Bronchology.
Dr. Ahluwalia is skilled in performing all invasive procedures in the fields of pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and critical care, and he looks forward to utilizing those abilities to help his patients be as healthy and happy as possible.
