Anita Petruzzelli, MD, is the owner and medical director of BodyLogicMD of Hartford in Glastonbury, Connecticut. She is an integrative medicine specialist who focuses on empowering her patients to take care of their bodies and minds by embracing healthy lifestyles.

Dr. Petruzzelli has worked as an OB/GYN for over 20 years, most recently at the Center for Women's Health and Midwifery in New Haven, Connecticut, as a hospitalist.
Formerly a competitive bodybuilder, Dr. Petruzzelli understands the importance of physical fitness and sound nutrition. She continues to live an active lifestyle and stresses the importance of mind-body interaction through her daily meditation practice, where she is a student and teacher at Odiyana Buddhist Center in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Dr. Petruzzelli’s commitment to education and her years of experience in integrative medicine have made her an expert in her field.

She has published articles on HIV, HCV, and Health Care Disparities in major journals. Dr. Martorell is also a National trainer on HIV and Hepatitis C for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
In addition, Dr. Martorell has received multiple awards, including the 2007 Severo Ochoa Award for outstanding contribution to eradicating HIV/AIDS in the minority community, and is also the recipient of the 2004 American Medical Association Foundation Excellence in Medicine Award.
