He then completed his internship at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. From there he served two years on a naval ship out of Norfolk, Virginia, as the ship's physician and then two years with the Marines in Quantico, Virginia. He then returned to UM/Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2000-2002, where he completed his residency training in internal medicine. He has been practicing medicine in Hollywood, Florida, since 2002.
