Daniel Skinner, MD, is board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He provides expert care at Skin Cancer Specialists, located in Mesa, Arizona.

Dr. Skinner is a 5th-generation Arizonan who grew up in Mesa and graduated from Mountain View High School. He went on to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated with a degree in business management. He then attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where he developed an interest in dermatologic surgery. 

During medical school, he was a leader and volunteer in many different medical school organizations. He completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He has presented research at many local and national meetings and has published research on the use of Mohs surgery for rare skin cancer, as well as a book chapter on dermabrasion. 

Dr. Skinner concluded his training with an intensive one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, with Dr. Christopher Harmon, one of the nation's leading Mohs surgeons. After graduating from a premier medical school in India, Dr. Fernandes continued her training in Internal Medicine and obtained advanced training in the treatment of blood and cancer disorders in the United States. She was awarded an international prestigious scholarship from the European Society of Medical Oncology and spent time as a visiting fellow in Medical Oncology in Spain.
