Daniel Skinner, MD, is board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He provides expert care at Skin Cancer Specialists, located in Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Skinner is a 5th-generation Arizonan who grew up in Mesa and graduated from Mountain View High School. He went on to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated with a degree in business management. He then attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where he developed an interest in dermatologic surgery.
During medical school, he was a leader and volunteer in many different medical school organizations. He completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Skinner concluded his training with an intensive one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, with Dr. Christopher Harmon, one of the nation's leading Mohs surgeons. Dr. Skinner has performed over 10,000 skin cancer surgeries. In addition to training in Mohs surgery and skin cancer removal, he has expertise in facial reconstruction after skin cancer removal.
Dr. Skinner is currently the president of the Phoenix Dermatology Society and on the board of directors of the Arizona Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Society. In addition, he is very active in volunteer work for his church and enjoys spending time playing and watching sports.

Emily Shortridge, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist. She specializes in ophthalmic care for children and also for adults with special needs.
Dr. Shortridge’s Pediatric practice is comprehensive and includes a wide range of pediatric eye needs.
