Negar Yaghooti, M.D. is a board-certified gastroenterologist joining the team at Burlingame Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She brings extensive experience from her previous role at Kaiser Permanente, where she specialized in managing patients with complex Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Dr. Yaghooti grew up in Los Angeles and graduated magna cum laude in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland. She completed her residency at the University of Southern California and her fellowship at the University of New Mexico. She has received additional training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at both the University of Chicago and at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles.  She has taken on leadership positions at every step in her career path.

In addition to her advanced training through the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society, Dr. Yaghooti is passionate about the full spectrum of gastroenterology and hepatology which is consistent with our practice mission.  She is committed to providing personalized, patient-centered care, and we are excited to welcome her to our practice

Richard Abbey, PhD, is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist and the founder of Abbey Neurodynamic Center, a wellness center located in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Abbey completes neuropsychological evaluations for children and adults of all ages. He specializes in diagnosing and treating autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), traumatic brain injuries (concussions), and social communication disorders.

Dr. Abbey detects age-related problems like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. He also has expertise in cancer, cancer treatments, stroke, epilepsy, and much more. Dr. Parikh received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. He went on to complete his residency in family medicine at Downey Regional Medical Center in California, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center in California.

He’s a well-regarded physician, providing hands-on diagnoses and treatments for injuries and pain through osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Passionate about education, he teaches at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and at the School of Nursing & Health Studies at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He also serves on the California Interscholastic Federation Sports Medicine Committee.

Sought after for his superior knowledge in sports medicine, Dr. Parikh works with some of the most renowned athletes in the world who participate in the Olympics, NFL, NBA, NCAA, and X-Games. He currently serves as the team physician for the USA Senior Men's Water Polo Team.

With his experience in the fast-paced, demanding world of sports, Dr. Parikh applies his skilled mindset and experience to treat executives in Silicon Valley.

In Dr. Parikh’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also likes to cook, try new restaurants, and travel.

Anthony Ea, DO, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in coronary, endovascular, and structural heart procedures. His board certifications include Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Ea values the opportunity to support his patients throughout their life-long health journeys as well as during crucial health events, such as heart attacks. He explains, “I believe in empowering my patients through active collaboration in each phase of care — from diagnosis to treatment.”

As a proud Bay Area native, Dr. Ea feels that being raised in this community shaped him into the person and doctor he is today — socially conscious, mindful, and inclusive. When it was time to begin his career, he knew he wanted to return to the Bay Area to raise his family and provide care to the very community that influenced him.

Outside his practice, Dr. Ea enjoys spending time with his family exploring the outdoors and the diverse food scene that the Bay Area has to offer. He’s an avid sports fan and catches as many Giants, 49ers, and Warriors games as he can. Dr. Ea is fluent in English and has conversational proficiency in Spanish.

Kristin Boulier,MD, is a non-invasive cardiologist specializing in general cardiology and cardiac imaging with expertise in cardiovascular genetics. She is board certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiac CT.

Originally from Maryland, her training began at Johns Hopkins followed by medical school at the University of Virginia. From there she moved to California to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Stanford followed by Cardiology fellowship within the STAR research track at the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Her research training in bioinformatics and genetics has given her an appreciation for an analytic approach to assessing individualized risks and benefits of available treatment options. She has extensive experience working with families to interpret genetic testing results and implement appropriate screening for those at risk due to family history. Her passion for physical activity has led her to seek out additional training in the care of athletes with heart conditions.

When not practicing cardiology, she can be found exploring the outdoors. She is an avid distance runner, having completed races including the Boston Marathon and a 50-mile ultramarathon.

Dr. Raabia Ahmad is originally from St. Louis, Missouri where she attended college at Washington University. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she attended medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Ahmad then completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. After completing her medical training, she worked outside Boston in the Mass General Brigham system for 5 years before moving to the Bay Area in search of warmer weather. She joined Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists in 2021 and has built a successful practice during her short time here. She also has taken on several administrative roles including President of ACS and is the co-medical director for Heart Failure at El Camino Hospital.

Dr. Ahmad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. She has a special clinical interest in congestive heart failure, preventive cardiology, women’s heart disease, cardiac imaging, and valvular disease. She strives to connect with her patients on a personal level, educate them on their condition, and guide them in joint clinical decision making.

In her free time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, traveling, and cooking.
