Dr. Mir obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan. After obtaining her doctorate in medicine, she pursued residency training in family medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
During her time as a physician, she was awarded the “Claire Knighten-Ward Award” for her humanism and excellence. She was also honored by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washingtonian with a “Top Doctors Award.”

After completing his formal education, Dr. Zahir received internship training from Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Shalin Patel is a highly skilled, board-certified interventional cardiologist renowned for his expertise in complex cardiovascular procedures and dedication to patient-centered care. His extensive medical training spans multiple prestigious institutions across the East Coast before he brought his specialized services to the Hawaiian islands.
Dr. Patel began his higher education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued his medical journey at VCU, receiving his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) School of Medicine.
