Steven Fisher, MD, FACC, is a skilled cardiologist who is board-certified in cardiovascular disease. 
Dr. Fisher sees patients at Cardiology Associates of Frederick in Frederick, Maryland and is also affiliated with Frederick Memorial Hospital. 

Dr. Fisher graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Biology and Anthropology. He also obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Following his medical education, Dr. Fisher completed an internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed a clinical and research Cardiology Fellowship at the Medical Center of/ University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. 

Dr. Fisher worked as a cardiologist and  NIH funded research scientist at academic medical centers (AMC) for 30 years prior to joining Cardiology Associates of Frederick, initially  in Cleveland , OH and subsequently at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

He was active in all activities at the AMC including teaching/training  physicians and cardiologists of the future, developing new understanding of and therapies for cardiovascular disease,  and taking care of patients as a general cardiologist. Patients of Dr. Fisher can expect the highest level of patient-centered cardiology care.

Dr. Shalin Patel is a highly skilled, board-certified interventional cardiologist renowned for his expertise in complex cardiovascular procedures and dedication to patient-centered care. His extensive medical training spans multiple prestigious institutions across the East Coast before he brought his specialized services to the Hawaiian islands. Dr. Patel began his higher education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued his medical journey at VCU, receiving his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Patel completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. He then advanced his specialization, completing two rigorous fellowships: one in Cardiovascular Disease and a subsequent one in Interventional Cardiology, both at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. A significant chapter in Dr. Patel's career involved practicing on the island of Maui, where he was affiliated with Maui Memorial Medical Center and the Pacific Permanente Group. While in Hawaii, he focused on expanding interventional cardiology services, allowing patients to receive essential heart care close to home without needing to travel. Dr. Patel is committed to providing comprehensive cardiac health, treating a wide range of conditions from general cardiology to performing minimally invasive procedures like percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and diagnostic angiography.
